This is a critical role accountable for the Nordics & Baltics Business Excellence initiatives and Digital Transformation. Ipsen has set a clear priority to raise business intelligence & digital capabilities across its affiliate, and the Director will be instrumental to achieve the ambition of greater impact through insights, excellence in execution, and innovation. The Director will have a broad scope of responsibilities, including brand & market insights, forecasting & performance analytics, commercial excellence, multichannel/digital and Learning & Development. He/she will be accountable for driving a mindset of excellence in execution, data-driven insights, and innovation across NoBa. The Director will work very closely with the LT and is expected to be a proactive thought partner for the GM and the BU Heads. He/she will support the roll-out of best practices across NoBa business units and functions. He/She will work with Ipsen Global Strategic Business Excellence team, aligning on global priorities and providing feedback & suggestions. The person will manage a team of 4-5 people, each focusing on a specific area. Main responsibilities / job expectations

1. Scope of responsibilities (in brief)

Knowledge, abilities & experience 

Education / Certifications / Experience:

  • Scientific or Business Degree

  • Min. 5 years in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare environment & pharmaceutical marketplace.

  • Specialty care experience (ideally oncology/Neuroscience and rare disease) experience.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities. Proven ability to analyze and make fact-based & insights-driven commercial decisions.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent leadership, influence and teamwork mindset and ability. Proven skills to collaborate and influence senior leaders including GMs.

  • Strong knowledge of and deployment experience in Commercial Excellence (SFE, CRM, IQVIA).

  • Experience working in and across Nordics / Baltics. Languages:

  • English and one other Scandinavian language fluency – written & spoken

  • Other languages beneficial especially Scandinavian

Key Technical Competencies Required 

  • Ability to project manage and coordinate complex initiatives

  • Ability to work with IQVIA products, Veeva CRM (or similar) and decision tools

  • Problem solving, managing complexity and high accountability

  • Ability to successfully understand and work across different cultures

Specifics of the position:

  • Must be willing to travel (local & international) and work outside normal working hours

  • Must be able to behave in a manner consistent with Ipsen Vision, Code of Conduct & Ways of Being

Internal and external contacts (organization): Business Unit Team members, Senior Management Team, Finance, HR, Medical and Operations External: HCP’s, HCO’s, Agencies, Service Providers and Suppliers
